¡Hola, chicos!

My name is Ed, a twenty-something-year-old student from Hong Kong. I started learning Spanish when I was in my first year of university. Then, I spent a month during summer in Granada, Andalusia to read Spanish, which it ended up being a “love at first sight” experience. A few years later, I made it to Barcelona and did a year-long exchange programme there right next to the Mediterranean. It was an absolutely incredible year to remember!

On 7 September 2013, I decided to start writing casually here: babbling about different cultures, posting no-faff recipes, talking about places for a wee getaway, and making comparison between Hong Kong and Spain – whenever I come across something interesting, or something that can reveal the significant sociocultural/political differences between these two of my homes, I would definitely share the stories here with you all :)

Spain is my genuine passion. Not only did I enjoy the city life in Granada (Andalusia) and in Barcelona (Catalonia), but I am also eager to explore the sensational and varied landscape in different parts of this dynamic country. If you have never been to Spain, pack your bag now and to kick start your journey with me! :)

Gracias for dropping by and happy browsing! Until the next blog post! ;)
